VTB Capital, the investment arm of Russia’s VTB Bank, has announced the acquisition of a minority stake in National Satellite Company, a Russian satellite television operator. National Satellite Company operates under the brand name Tricolor TV and has 9.12 million paid subscribers. The investment is intended to help the company increase the value of its assets and prepare for a planned initial public offering. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
