Head of Private Equity Unit

Matthieu Ducorroy has been Head of Private Equity Unit at the European Investment Bank (EIB) since 2021. He is responsible for the team in charge of EIB investments in private equity, venture capital, and impact funds in emerging markets. In particular, he has developed EIB’s support to venture capital funds in Africa via the Boost Africa initiative. Since 2023, the scope of his responsibility has increased to include EIB investments in Microfinance funds. Matthieu joined the EIB in 2016. He was previously an Investment Manager at the European Investment Fund (EIF), focusing on investments in SME funds in Europe. Prior to joining EIF, he worked in a private sector fund-of-funds targeting private equity funds in Europe and North America. He started his career as a M&A analyst at UBS Investment Bank. He graduated from Ecole des Ponts (Paris), holds an MBA from ESSEC Business School and a Master’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Paris-Nanterre.
