Global private equity firm Warburg Pincus has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Mercator, a United Arab Emirates-based provider of software and technology-enabled outsourcing solutions to the global aviation industry, from air services provider Dnata, which will retain a minority stake. Warburg Pincus’s investment will be used to enhance Mercator’s competitive position and support its global growth. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
