Actis to Invest US$250 Million in Mexican Energy Platform Zuma Energía (Latin America)

Pan-emerging markets private equity firm Actis is committing US$250 million to establish Mexico-focused energy platform Zuma Energía, which will target over 500MW of installed capacity in the country. Zuma Energía’s strategy involves both partnering on new projects and developing its own proprietary pipeline. The platform has completed its first acquisition, closing the financing of PE Ingenio, a 50MW wind farm located in the state of Oaxaca.
