2020 Global PE Forum (Beijing)

China International Fair for Trade in Services (abbreviated as CIFTIS) is the world’s first comprehensive trade fair that focuses on the development of service trade and promotes international service trade exchanges and cooperation. China International Fair for Trade in Services, China International Import Expo (abbreviated as CIIE), and China Import and Export Fair (abbreviated as Canton Fair) have become the three major exhibition platforms for China to open up. CIFTIS is scheduled to be held in Beijing in early September this year. The 2020 Global PE Forum will be the only key forum in the financial sector and will be held in Beijing during the CIFTIS.

2020 is a year full of challenges and opportunities. Influenced by the epidemic, the global economy faces more uncertainties and downward pressure. After the crisis there must be a turning point. Controlling the epidemic effectively, China’s economic recovery has advanced in an orderly manner, showing strong resilience. The year 2020 also makes China’s private equity industry face severe test. The “pause button” pressed by the epidemic accelerated the “survival of the fittest” in the private equity industry. Changes in economic life in the wake of the epidemic have also provided new investment opportunities for institutions.

The Global PE Forum has been held ten sessions since 2009. The forum participants include government officials, representatives of domestic and foreign PE/VC institutions as well as industry associations, practitioners of equity investment and media journalists. The 2020 Global PE Forum will continue to adhere to the purpose of building a dialogue platform between government and industry for the participants. With the theme of “System, Competence, Confidence and Vitality”, it will conduct in-depth discussions and make forward-looking judgments to take the pulse of China’s economy and promote the healthy and orderly development of China’s private equity investment industry.
