Actis Acquires Serra Branca Wind Power Project Rights (Latin America)

Global growth markets investor Actis has purchased the rights to construct 197 megawatts of wind power projects in Brazil from Voltalia, a France-based renewable electricity producer and service provider. Completed through Actis’ Brazil-based wind power platform Echoenergia, the deal will authorize the firm to build wind projects on Voltalia-owned sites in the Serra Branca region of Rio Grande do Norte, a state in northeastern Brazil. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
