Global private equity fund manager Advent International has agreed to acquire an 80 percent stake in Walmart Brazil from the company’s U.S.-based parent. Walmart will retain the remaining 20 percent stake in the company upon completion of the transaction. Financial details of the transaction, which is subject to regulatory approval, were not disclosed.
