Amethis Finance, a fund manager that provides debt and equity financing to companies in Africa, has reached a final close on its first Africa-dedicated fund with US$530 million in capital commitments. Fifty-five investors committed to the fund, including European, American and African institutions, as well as entrepreneurs and family offices from Europe and the United States. Amethis has already invested in five companies through the fund, including a gas company in Côte d’Ivoire and banks in Kenya and Ghana.
