Asia-focused private equity firm Baring Private Equity Asia has reached a final close on Baring Private Equity Asia Fund VI with approximately US$4 billion in capital commitments, reaching its hard cap. Investors in the fund included Los Angeles City Employees' Retirement System, Texas County & District Retirement System, Pennsylvania Public School Employees' Retirement System, San Francisco City & County Employees' Retirement System and the Arizona Public Safety Personnel Retirement System. The multi-sector fund will target companies in Asia, as well as those in Europe and North America that have plans to grow in Asia.
