Global natural resources and mining-focused private equity firm CD Capital has closed its second fund, CD Capital Natural Resources Fund II, with US$255 million in capital commitments. The fund raised over 50 percent of its corpus from endowments, around 30 percent from foundations, and the remainder from family offices and funds of funds. While the fund will have a global mandate, it will focus primarily on natural resources in Latin America.
