Emerging markets-focused venture capital firm Digital Media Partners has led a US$2.5 million Series A financing round for Medical Departures, a Thailand-based online platform connecting patients with doctors and dentists around the world. Other investors in the round included media company Hubert Burda Media, internet services-focused investor CyberAgent Ventures and digital advertising company OPT SEA. Medical Departures will use the new funds to accelerate its growth in key markets, including Southeast Asia.
