Grupo VI-DA, an Argentina-based developer of digital education products, has raised a financing round from emerging markets-focused venture capital firm Elevar Equity, philanthropic investment firm Omidyar Network and The Rise Fund, TPG’s global impact investment private equity fund. Grupo VI-DA plans to use the new funds to further develop its existing literacy products, including the digital library platform BIDI, and to launch TISMAS, a new educational platform targeting teachers and students. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
