Hedge fund Valiant Capital Partners has led a US$26 million Series D financing round for India-based BrainBees Solutions, owner of baby-focused e-commerce site FirstCry.com. Venture capital fund managers IDG Ventures India and SAIF Partners and Vertex Venture Holdings, the early-stage investment arm of Temasek Holdings, also participated in the round. BrainBees Solutions intends to use the financing to scale and grow its private label business. Separately, IDG Ventures India and venture capital firm Inventus Capital have participated in a US$1.5 million seed financing round for India-based Aasaanjobs, which runs an online recruitment platform. The company intends to use the capital injection for product development and scaling its Mumbai operations.
