Inventus Reaches USD51 Million Final Close for First India-Focused Fund

US- and India-focused venture capital fund manager Inventus Capital Partners has reached a final close for its first fund dedicated solely to India with INR3.6 billion (approximately USD51 million) in capital commitments. Investors in the fund include the Small Industries Development Bank of India, as well as institutional investors, technology entrepreneurs, and family offices. The fund, which reached an INR2 billion (USD28 million) first close in October 2018, has already reportedly completed five investments. It plans to make ten to 15 investments in early-stage companies in the telecommunications, media, and technology sectors.
