Janalakshmi Financial Services Raises Funding from HarbourVest, Others (Asia)

India-based non-banking financial company Janalakshmi Financial Services has reportedly raised a funding round of approximately INR6 billion to INR7 billion (approximately US$94 million to US$110 million) from a group of investors including global private markets asset manager HarbourVest Partners. HarbourVest reportedly contributed INR2.5 billion to INR2.6 billion (approximately US$39 million to US$41 million). The company plans to rebrand as Jana Small Finance Bank and become a certified small finance bank.
