KKR and Sino-Ocean Group to Invest in Beijing Capital Juda (Asia)

Global investment firm KKR and China-based property developer Sino-Ocean Group have agreed to invest HKD1.5 billion (approximately US$190 million) through new ordinary shares and perpetual convertible bond securities in Beijing Capital Juda, the Hong Kong-listed subsidiary of integrated property developer Beijing Capital Land. KKR will invest through China Growth Fund. Following the completion of the transaction, which is subject to regulatory and shareholder approval, KKR and Sino-Ocean will own 16 percent and 12 percent stakes, respectively, in Capital Juda.
