Southeast Asia-focused venture capital fund managers Openspace Ventures and Jungle Ventures have led a USD6 million Series A investment in SweetEscape, an Indonesia-based on-demand photography platform. Other investors in the funding round include Burda Principal Investments, the investment arm of Germany-based Hubert Burda Media, and the company’s existing shareholders East Ventures, BEENEXT, Skystar Capital, and GDP Venture. SweetEscape, which connects travelers to local photographers and manages photographer workflow, plans to use the funds to grow its team, strengthen its presence in Asia, and leverage artificial intelligence to enhance its post-production process.
