Global private markets investment manager Partners Group has agreed to invest more than US$200 million for a controlling stake in a solar power development platform in Taiwan. Cathay Life Insurance is also acquiring a minority stake in the platform through a Partners Group-managed vehicle. The platform has entered into an agreement with Taiwan-based solar power plant developer Sinogreenergy to develop a portfolio of up to 550 megawatts of solar power capacity across Taiwan over the next three years.
