India-based clean energy company ReNew Power Ventures has raised US$265 million in a round of funding from global alternative asset manager Global Environment Fund (GEF), the private equity arm of investment bank Goldman Sachs and sovereign wealth fund Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA). GEF invested up to US$15 million, while Goldman Sachs contributed US$50 million. ADIA, which led the round, invested US$200 million. The company will use the new funds for capital expenditures related to its solar and wind projects.
