India-focused alternative asset manager Steadview Capital Management has acquired a stake in India-based fantasy sports game developer Dream11 for a reported sum of USD60 million from existing investors Kalaari Capital, Multiples Alternate Asset Management, and Think Investments. Kalaari and Multiples originally invested in the company in 2015 and 2017, respectively, before jointly participating in a USD100 million Series D funding round for Dream11 in 2018 led by China-based technology group Tencent Holdings. The latest transaction reportedly values the company at more than USD1 billion.
