Tencent Leads USD141 Million Series B Investment in Golden Technology

Hainan Golden Technology, a China-based enterprise software and data services company, has raised CNY1 billion (approximately USD141 million) in a Series B financing round led by its parent company Tencent Holdings. Shenzhen Capital Group, CDH Investments, China Investment Corporation, and China Finance Fund—as well as existing investors such as Wanda Group, Hillhouse Capital Management, Prometheus Capital, and IDG Capital—also participated in the round. Golden Technology operates electronic invoicing platform WeTax and toll transaction platform ETC Assistant. The company plans to use the new capital to invest in blockchain technology and develop an additional product serving the transportation industry.
