Global growth markets investor The Abraaj Group has acquired a stake in Thailand-based education service provider KPN Academy. The transaction was structured through The Abraaj Group’s Southeast Asia Fund. KPN Academy operates more than 103 centers across Thailand, offering a variety of subjects including music, mathematics, chemistry, physics and social sciences. With the investment, KPN Academy intends to expand its footprint in Thailand, as well as in Southeast Asia. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
