Global alternative asset manager The Carlyle Group has bought a 37 percent stake in Metropolis Healthcare, an India-based pathology laboratory service provider, from company shareholder Dr. GSK Velu and his affiliates. Financial details of the transaction, which was structured through Carlyle Asia Partners IV, were not disclosed.
