Warburg Pincus and Eight Roads Ventures have exited part of their stakes in Mumbai-listed drugmaker Laurus Labs. Warburg Pincus recently sold a nearly 8% stake for USD49m, after previously divesting shares for USD51m during the company’s IPO in December 2016. Warburg still holds an 11.26% stake in Laurus Labs. Eight Roads sold almost its entire stake in the company via four events: it sold part of its stake to Warburg Pincus ahead of the company’s IPO, it divested shares in the IPO, and achieved two more exits via open market transactions for a combined USD115m.
