Global private equity firm Warburg Pincus has agreed to invest INR18 billion (approximately US$284 million) for a minority stake in India-based real estate development company Piramal Realty. The capital raised will be used to expand Piramal Realty’s portfolio and acquire additional land in and around Mumbai. The company currently has more than 10 million square feet under development in the area.
