Wolfensohn to Buy Into NSE (Asia)

Global emerging markets private equity firm Wolfensohn Fund Management has agreed to purchase a 0.5 percent stake in India’s National Stock Exchange (NSE) for INR900 million (approximately US$16.5 million). Wolfensohn will purchase the shares from Indian infrastructure finance company IDFC. The investment is subject to regulatory approval from India’s Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB).
