Paul Owers

Paul Owers is our General Counsel, based in London. He is responsible for all corporate and transactional legal support. Paul joined Actis in 1994 with responsibility for all legal aspects of the portfolio in sub-Saharan Africa. The scope of his role broadened to cover all of Actis’s markets worldwide on his appointment as Assistant General Counsel in 2000 and then General Counsel in 2002. Prior to joining Actis, Paul spent seven years with Norton Rose in London focusing on trade and project finance in Africa.

Paul read Jurisprudence at Keble College, Oxford. He was admitted to the New York Bar in 1987 and as a Solicitor in England in 1989.
