Tim Purcell is the Managing Partner and co-founder of Linzor Capital Partners. He previously worked for close to twenty years at J.P. Morgan in the investment banking and private equity areas. He started his career in New York in 1986 in the Latin American Mergers and Acquisitions group, which he co-headed from 1996 to 1999. In 2000 he became Managing Partner of J.P. Morgan Partners Latin America, one of the leading private equity funds in the region. Mr. Purcell has served on a large number of Latin American corporate boards, including Celulosa Arauco, Cruz del Sur Vida, Parque Arauco, Cruz Blanca, Hoyts Latin America, Santo Tomás and Komax. Mr. Purcell is also involved with a number of non-profit organizations, including International House, Colegios Cree, Enseña Chile and Teach for All.
Mr. Purcell is a graduate of Cornell University, where he received a Bachelor Degree with Distinction in Economics. He is also a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned an MBA from the Wharton School and a Masters Degree in International Studies.
